The United Way of the Valley and Greater Utica Area is looking for request for proposals for its 2017-2019 Community Impact Grants.

Funding is granted to programs and agencies in Oneida and Herkimer Counties serving low to moderate income children, adults and elderly persons in need.

Goals for community impact include:

•  Fund programs which best address community needs.

•  Shift funding to areas where it has the most impact and most need.

•  Make continual improvements in program funding.

•  Conduct a fair method of evaluation of programs and funding.

•  Improve lives by addressing the underlying problems and root causes of community issues.

Applications can be found on the United Way's website.  The application deadline is February 10th.
