United Way Celebrates National Adoption Month

Utica, NY (WIBX) - The United Way of the Valley and Greater Utica Area is celebrating the beginning of National Adoption Month by distributing 150 dolls to five local agencies serving children in Oneida and Herkimer Counties.

The dolls and stuffed animals were made available for distribution through a gift made by the late Elanor Roscup of Remsen.

The five agencies receiving the dolls are Catholic Charities of Herkimer, the Country Pantry, the Neighborhood Center, the Peacemaker Program and the Thea Bowman House.
