The United Way of the Valley and Greater Utica is kicking off its third annual community wide diaper drive today.

Last year's drive collected over 7,000 supplies for local babies and families in need.

This year's drive runs from today through May first, and you can drop off supplies at Target at Sangertown Square that will be distributed to local programs serving needy families throughout Herkimer and Oneida Counties.

"The diaper drive is a great way for us to come together as a community to support the health and well-being of our youngest and most vulnerable residents: babies," said United Way Director Brenda Episcopo. "It is also and opportunity for us to alleviate some financial pressure for some patients in the interest of the common good."
