The United Way of the Valley and Greater Utica Area Board of Directors has approved its 2015 funding allocations.

The United Way will be investing more than $900,000 dollars in 50 programs in Oneida and Herkimer Counties.

The programs make an impact in the four United Way focus areas, Health, Education, Income and Community Safety Net.  Particular emphasis is given to low income, at-risk families and individuals.

One in five people in the Valley and Greater Utica area request help from a United Way funded program every year.
