The United Way of the Valley and Greater Utica Area is looking to "Close the Gap" in its 2016 campaign.

The campaign is entering its final month and the United Way is calling on the community to participate in one last push to help raise additional funds.

The fundraising goal is $2.1 million and officials are projecting a $100,000 shortfall

“The 2016 campaign isn’t complete yet. We are seeking donations to help close the gap and make this a stronger community,” said Jackie Romano, Board Member and chair of Resource Development. “We have seen first-hand the amazing work done by the programs funded by United Way donors, and we want to make sure this great work continues.”

You can contribute online at unitedwayvgu.org or by mail at 201 Lafayette Street, Utica, NY 13502.

The United Way will hold its Campaign Celebration on May 16th.
