United Way Releases Mid-Campaign Report

Utica, NY (WIBX) - The United Way of the Valley and Greater Utica Area has reached the mid-way point of its 2011 campaign.As of Thursday morning, the United Way has raised more than $330,000 toward its annual campaign goal of $2.75 million dollars.

Officials say the 2011 campaign has seen about a 20% increase in pledges from 2009 and a nearly 50% increase from last year.

United Way Executive Director Brenda Episcopo says she's encouraged by the results, but is reminding the community that there's still a long way to go.
