UPD Arrest Man After An Early Morning Domestic Disturbance

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Early this morning, Utica Police responded to a complaint at 905 Saratoga Street in Utica and arrested a suspect after he was accused of trying to fight another man over his ex-girlfriend. According to the report, 42-year-old Matthew Johnson was angry about his ex-girlfriend being at the other man's home. He allegedly damaged the home and a television after he threw a 40-ounce beer bottle through the victims window.

Officials say they arrested Johnson at him home on Stark Street and charged him with 4th degree Criminal Mischief. The suspect will answer the charge at a later date in Utica City Court. Officials say the incident occurred around 2:05 a.m.
