Utica, NY (WIBX) - An early morning arrest landed a Utica man in jail facing several charges. The incident allegedly started with a domestic violence dispute, that subsequently lead to a foot chase with police officers.

According to the official report, the incident occurred around 2:30 this morning at 1016 Hess Lane, when the suspect supposedly grabbed his girlfriend, causing her to sustain minor injuries such as scratches and bruises. After the foot chase with Utica police, 26-year-old Traevis Brown was charged with the following:

  • Obstructing Governmental Administration, 2nd Degree
  • Harassment, 2nd Degree
  • Resisting Arrest

Officials say Brown will answer the charges at a later date in Utica City Court.
