UPD Investigating Possible Shooting Incident

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Utica police say they're still investigating an incident that occurred yesterday morning, involving a man who threatened to harm himself with a gun. According to officials who responded to the resident on Grant Street, the man barricaded himself inside the home---refusing to come out.

Officials say the man subsequently existed the house and was taken into custody. The preliminary investigation report states that a loaded 9 millimeter handgun was found along with a bullet hole in the window of the home. Noone was injured during the incident and officials say the suspect is still undergoing an evaluation at a local hospital.
