UPD Investigating Robbery At Cash Corner

Utica, NY (WIBX) - The Cash Corner on Genesee Street in downtown Utica was robbed at gunpoint this afternoon.

Police say the clerk suffered a laceration to his head after being pistol whipped.

Police caught up with a man matching the description of the suspect on Deveraux Street behind the State Office Building and took him into custody.

The man, who is being interview by police, does not face charges at this point, and police have not released his name. 

The investigation continues.
