UPD: Man Arrested For Attacking Ex-Girlfriend, Police

Utica, NY (WIBX) - A Utica man is in jail for attacking his ex-girlfriend and the law enforcement officials called to the scene of the domestic dispute incident on Kemble Street. According to the report, 24 year old Timothy Hand repeatedly punched the female victim in the face and body, for allegedly talking about changing her relationship status on Facebook. Officials say there was an active order of protection against Hand at the time of incident, and he also had two active warrants for his arrest.

While attempting to arrest the suspect, officials say he resisted by kicking, elbowing and spitting at the officers. Hand is charged with 1st Degree Criminal Contempt, 2nd Degree Obstructing Governmental Administration and 3 counts of 2nd Degree Harassment.
