UPD: Man Puts Wife In Choke-Hold, Drags Her Around

Utica, NY (WIBX) - A man with an active order of protection against him was arrested over the weekend and hailed off to jail on domestic violence charges. Utica police say 36-year-old Curtis Simmons placed his wife in a choke-hold and dragged her around the house until a neighbor intervened.

Curtis, of Wager Street in Utica, is charged with the following violations:

  • 1st Degree Criminal Contempt, a class E felony
  • Criminal Obstruction of Breathing, a misdemeanor
