Utica, NY (WIBX) - A Utica man found himself in police custody after he was allegedly observed burglarizing a home on Schuyler Street late last night. The report states that a good Samaritan was standing on his porch, when he witnessed his neighbors home being burglarized, and waived down a passing police car.

After the officers observed a broken window, and the man with a flash light and knapsack ransacking the home, they called for back up to apprehend him. Police say, they subsequently arrested 41-year-old Souksakhone Donsavanh of Noyes Street and charged him with 2nd Degree Burglary, a Class C Felony and Possession of Burglar Tools, a Misdemeanor. Donsavanh will answer the charges at a later date in Utica City Court.
