Utica, NY (WIBX) - The Utica Police Department is remembering one of its fallen officers. Five years ago today, Officer Thomas Lindsey was shot and killed during a traffic stop in Utica. Wesley Molina-Cirino, who was 24-years-old at the time of the killing, was subsequently charged, convicted and sentenced to serve life in prison without the possibility of parole.

UPD in an official statement on its Facebook site, said, "April 12, 2012 is the five year anniversary of the murder of Tom Lindsey. The men and women of the UPD would like to express our gratitude for the public support and concern shown by so many of you over the last five years."
