UPD: Stabbing Suspect Caught And Charged

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Utica police arrested the man they say is responsible for an early morning stabbing incident this week. Officials say 25-year-old Jonathan McCurdy stabbed another man in the chest Monday around 2:00 a.m. near Hillcrest Avenue. The victim was treated at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Utica and released.

McCurdy, of Merriline Avenue, is charged with:

• 2nd Degree Assault - Class D Felony

No word on what started the altercation that led to the victim being stabbed.
