Utica, NY (WIBX) - A teen was taken to jail after allegedly threatening his mother with a 12 gauge shot gun over the weekend. According to Utica police officials, 16-year-old Christopher Jones of Thieme Place in Utica is facing the following charges after turning violent toward his mother:

  • Menacing in the second degree (class A misdemeanor)
  • Criminal mischief in the fourth degree (class A misdemeanor)
  • Criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree (class A misdemeanor).

Officials say the teen was taking out his frustration on his mother after an argument with his girlfriend that happened the day before his violent outburst.
