UPDATE: Paris Crash Claims Life of Utica Teen

Paris, NY (WIBX) - According to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, a 19-year old woman has died from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Authorities tell WIBX News that Deania Lay of Utica died hours after the accident, which happened just before 5:30 yesterday morning on Route 8 in the Town of Paris.

Deputies say 33-year old Doh Eh of Utica lost control of the van due to excessive speed.

The vehicle left the road, hit a street sign, then traveled down an embankment and overturned in a field.

Eh was ticketed for speed not reasonable for road conditions, failing to keep right, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and operating without liability insurance, he was not injured.
