UPDATE: 08/14/2013 10:02am It appears that no one else was injured by the plane as it crashed.  The crash site is more than 2,500 feet from the airport.  Local authorities are saying that trees and power lines are damaged.  It is not believed that any homes or surrounding structures were hit.

08/14/2013 08:22am ABC 33 /40 News in Birmingham, Alabama is reporting that the location of the crash is a field near the landing strip.  Pam Huff, from ABC 33/40 will be joining us live on WIBX First News with Keeler in the Morning.

08/14/2013 07:54am Two fatalities are being reported in the crash.  The bodies were found about one hundred yards from the fuselage.

A United Parcel Service cargo has crashed on approach to the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth Airport in Alabama.

The plane has been identified by the Federal Aviation Administration as Flight 1354 en route from Kentucky to Alabama.

The plane went down near the intersection of Airport Road and Huffman Roads.

Firefighters are battling the blaze.  Two people were on board the plane.
