ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) — A 24-year-old upstate New York man has pleaded guilty to murder in the shooting death of another man.

The Monroe County District Attorney's Office announced Wednesday that Rashawn Johnson admitted shooting Christopher Lee on a Rochester street corner in July 2015.

The 22-year-old victim, of Gates in the western suburbs of Rochester, was shot seven times in the upper body. He died from his injuries about a half hour later after being transported to a hospital.

Johnson is scheduled to be sentenced in October to 18 years to life in prison.
