Utica, NY (WIBX) - Utica School of Commerce is offering its 5th free Cyber Security Training Program for Oneida, Herkimer, Madison, Lewis, Otsego and Chenango County residents. Don Reese, Vice President, Corporate & Workforce Development at the school says the 32-hour course is to increase the employability of area residents. The first of the four sessions will be offered on several campuses throughout the surrounding counties starting in September.

Reese says the program will run on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and participants must attend all four Saturday classes in order to earn their certificate.

  • Utica Campus, 201 Bleecker Street - Sept. 17, 24, Oct. 1, 15, 22, 29, Nov. 5  and 19.
  • Oneonta Campus, 17 Elm Street - Sept. 17, 24, Oct. 1 and 15.
  • Canastota Campus, Route 5 & Dominic Bruno Blvd - Oct. 22, 29, Nov. 5 and 19.

Officials say participants must be legal residents if Chenango, Herkimer, Lewis, Madison, Oneida or Otsego Counties.
