The Genesis Group and the City of Utica have announced plans for the upcoming Independence Day holiday celebration.

The annual 4th of July Parade will begin at 11:00 a.m in front of St. Elizabeth Medical Center on Genesee Street.  The parade will travel north on Genesee to the Memorial Parkway, turn right onto the Parkway and end at Oneida Street.

The Parade Grand Marshal is Reverend Joseph Salerno,  pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes and Our Lady of the Rosary Churches and Chaplin of the Utica Police and Fire departments.

The event is open to everyone in the Mohawk Valley and Greater Utica region.  Registration is free.  Just visit www.July4Utica.com to complete an application.

The annual Party in The Park will take place from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. at FT Proctor Park on Culver Avenue.
