Utica Board Of Estimate And Apportionment Approves Proposed Budget

A proposed $64 million budget has been approved by the Utica Board of Estimate and Apportionment by a vote of three to two.

A proposed tax increase of 3 3/4-percent breaks down to about $3.50 per month for the average Utica homeowner.

Mayor Rob Palmieri's proposed 2013 Budget does not include layoffs of any kind at this time.

The budget will now be debated by the Common Council.
