Local soccer fans got their first look at Utica City FC on Sunday.

An intersquad game was held at the Adirondack Bank Center, with the Blue Team beating the Black Team, 5-3.

“I thought the game went well,” said Head Coach Ryan Hall, who split time between the benches monitoring his players on both sides of the ball. “It definitely gave me an opportunity to see what we still need to work on over the next couple of weeks but also allowed the guys to get familiar with the stadium.”

Utica City FC will begin its inaugural season in the Major Arena Soccer League on Saturday, December 1st with a road game versus the Harrisburg Heat.

They'll play their home opener against the defending champion Baltimore Blast on Sunday, December 2nd at 2:00.
