Utica College is holding several events this week to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Students, faculty and staff  ares stopping by the Strebel Student Center today to contribute to a peace and justice banner.  There was also a chance for attendees to watch video of the UC community sharing their thoughts on Dr. King.

Alane Varga, Dean of Diversity and Student Development at Utica College, says it's important for students to learn about and remember King's legacy.

UC's student senate will lead a peace march through campus this afternoon.

Other events to be held include a program featuring Tuskegee Airman Herbert Thorpe on Wednesday, from 12:30 to 1:30 in the Carbone Auditorium.
