Utica Could Partner With Albany To Save Tax Dollars

Utica, NY (WIBX) - In an effort to save money, Utica Mayor David Roefaro is trying to partner with Albany for fire department equipment purchasing.

The agreement would connect Utica with a purchasing pool within the City of Albany to lower the cost of equipment that isn't already available through county or state pools. Fire department equipment frequently meets that condition.

Roefaro will discuss the inter-municipal agreement at tomorrow night's common council meeting.
