Zecca will also appear on the Independence and Conservative Party lines in his bid for South Utica’s  3rdWard Council seat.

Zecca released the following statement:

“I’m honored to receive the large number of signatures and support for running on this newly formed party line. I believe my past record as a fiscal watchdog on the common council and my work on the council at always supporting efforts to consolidate services, like the 911 service consolidation that saved city taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars.   Let’s face reality our State, County and City, taxes are just too damn high and it is time for taxpayer relief. New York State ranks as the worst state in America for taxpayers. The average burden for state and local taxes is $9,718, which is 39% higher than the national average. I look forward to bringing much needed reform to city government to help reduce taxes and fees of all kinds.”
