Utica DPW Hosts Open House This Weekend

Utica, NY (WIBX) – Looking for free blue bags? The City of Utica Department of Public Works is giving them away while supplies last during an open house this weekend.
DPW Commissioner David Short says it is a brand new event for a brand new administration.

The first twenty children through the door will get personalized street signs.
Trash bags, which retail for between $.95 to $1.55 depending on the size, will be given away, while supplies last. And, when asked if he was worried about all of the media attention about the blue bag giveaways, Short was humored.

The event, featuring raffles, giveaways, and refreshments, takes place from 1:00p.m. to 5:00p.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2012.
