A Flag Day ceremony is planned tonight at the Purple Heart Memorial Veterans' Park in Utica.

The program will include a history of the flag and is 'very education for children and adults', said Joe Fraccola, commander of the Military Order of the Purple Heart. Fraccola joined First News with Keeler in the Morning on Tuesday to discuss tonight's ceremony at 6:00 p.m., and discussed proper disposal of American flags. The Purple Heart Memorial Park, at the corner of Whiteboro and Erie Streets in West Utica.

The event is organized by Utica Elks Lodge No. 33.
