Utica Fire Investigation Continues

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Utica Fire Department officials say a Monday morning fire at 1712 Whitesboro Street was caused by careless smoking on the rear porch.

Meanwhile, the cause of a fire at 1434 Genesee Street remains under investigation.

That fire happened late Sunday night.

Two residents of the multiple dwelling building had to be treated at the scene.

A third resident was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center for breathing difficulties, treated and released.
