Utica Firefighters Win Boilermaker Competition

Utica, NY (WIBX) - The Utica Fire Department has bragging rights following this year's Boilermaker.

The UFD received the 2012 Bob Ingalls Police and Fire Competition Award last night.

This was the eighth year the Boilermaker has featured the competition between the Utica Police and Fire Departments.

The department with the five fastest 15-K runners gets a trophy.

The Utica Fire Department's team finished with a combined time of five hours and 58 minutes, while the UPD had a combined time of six hours and six minutes.
