Utica Girl Donates Bear Collection To Children’s Miracle Network

Last month, 12 year old Hannah Smith decided to donate her Build-A-Bear Collection to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare.

Smith began collecting bears when she was 6 months old, and continued to do so over the next 12 years.

She began thinking of where to donate her total of 27 bears and found the best people to send them to were children being treated at FSLH.

She had remembered receiving one of her bears from the very same hospital when she was 3.

Hannah hopes the bears will inspire others in the community to give back, as well as to lift the spirits of the children at FSLH.
