Utica Goes Green On Genesee Street For St. Patrick’s Day

A small group of people including Mayor Robert Palmieri, cheered on Fire Chief Russ Brooks as he painted the ceremonial green line down Genesee Street.
The line is an annual tradition in Utica performed the day before the city’s Saint Patrick’s Day parade.
Brooks walked past the Stanley Theater with his wife by his side, spraying paint down the center of the road.
Tomorrow morning’s Saint Patrick’s Day parade begins at 10.
