The City of Utica wants to hear from you about how to spend nearly $3 million in Community Development Block Grant funds that are allocated to the city every year.

Director of Urban Planning Brian Thomas says the money is historically spent on street repair and the demolition of old buildings because that's what residents have considered a priority in the past.

Thomas said some of the funds are also used for the multiple senior centers around the city, but city officials want to hear your input before the decisions are made with this year's funds.

The next public hearing regarding the use of the CDBG funds is scheduled for Thursday December 4, at Utica City Hall.
