Utica Man Accused Of Making Off With Purse, Charged

Utica, NY (WIBX) - A Utica man is facing a felony theft charge after allegedly taking a purse out of a cart at Price Chopper. Officials say an employee observed the suspect with the purse in the men's room and reported the incident to loss prevention, which led to an investigation by Utica Police. 48-year-old Michael Jenkins was subsequently located and detained at another store. He's charged with Petit Larceny and Felony Grand Larceny.
