Utica Man Arrested After Domestic Dispute

A Utica man was arrested following a domestic dispute on Saratoga Street.

Utica Police say 33-year old Alonzo Thomas returned home at about 5:00 this morning, started yelling at his girlfriend, grabbed her by the throat and began to strangle her.

The woman was eventually able to break free and fled the house with her 6 and 7-year old children.

Thomas is facing several charges, including criminal obstruction of breathing and endangering the welfare of a child.
