Utica Man Arrested After Foot Chase

A Utica man is facing several charges after leading police on a foot chase.

Utica Police say officers stop 23-year old Kendale Weathers on the 1500 block of Dudley Avenue for walking in the roadway.

They say officers could smell the odor of marijuana on Weathers and as they spoke with him about that, Weathers fled on foot.  He was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit.

Weathers was allegedly found to be in possession of marijuana and a loaded handgun.

He's facing charges including criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of marijuana and pedestrian failing to use sidewalk.
