Utica Man Arrested After Forcing His Way Into Apartment

A Utica man has been arrested after allegedly forcing his way into an apartment on Scott Street and pointing a gun at a woman inside.

Utica Police have charged 36-year old Angel Soto with burglary, menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and obstructing governmental administration.

Police say Soto questioned the woman about an unknown man who lived in the apartment and after searching the apartment, he fled when he realized the woman was the only occupant.

Soto was taken in custody without incident after he was located inside another apartment on Scott Street.

Police say Soto was in possession of a loaded handgun.

No injuries were reported.
