New Hartford, NY (WIBX) - A Utica man is in custody after he was found going through cars in New Hartford.

24-Year old David Lebron, Junior was seen sitting in a car outside of a family's home in New Hartford. The homeowner started up a conversation and distracted him until police arrived.

When they did, Lebron was allegedly found to be in possession of property stolen from several cars over the past few days, including credit cards. Police then discovered that Lebron was on parole.

He awaits a court appearance at the Oneida County Jail without bail.
