Utica Man Arrested After Troopers Find Pot In Disabled Vehicle

A Utica man has been arrested after Troopers were checking on a disabled vehicle on Route 49 in Marcy.

While interviewing the operator of the vehicle, New York State Police say an odor of Marijuana was detected and probable cause was established to search the vehicle.

An investigation determined the driver, 19-year-old Ednan Salkic, and a 15-year-old female passenger had been driving around smoking pot together until the car broke down.

Salkic was arrested and charged with Felony Criminal Sale of Marijuana, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, Aggravated DWAI (Drugs): with a child in the car under the age of 16 and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
