Utica Man Arrested Following Domestic Incident

A former standout athlete at Proctor High School is facing charges following a domestic incident on the 1600  block of Genesee Street.

24-year old Deandre Preaster of Utica was arrested and charged with assault and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

Utica Police say a man told officers he was arguing with his daughter when Preaster allegedly hit him in the head with a handgun.

Officers recovered a loaded revolver.
