Utica Man Arrested For Alleged Heroin Trafficking
A Utica man has been arrested after an investigation into heroin trafficking in Utica.
State police say Ruvejd Smajlovic, 20, was arrested after a search warrant was executed during a traffic stop.
Police say Smajlovic tried to run away from officers and also attempted to ditch a bag of heroin that he had on him before Troopers caught him.
He was charged with 3rd degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and sent to the Oneida County Jail on $10,000 bail.
State Police say the investigation is ongoing and more charges are possible.
