Utica Man Arrested For Grand Larceny

Utica, NY (WIBX) - A Utica man has been arrested for allegedly stealing money from an elderly relative.

Utica Police say 45-year old Timothy McGurk used the victm's checkbook and wrote several checks to himself to pay his personal bills, signing the victim's name.

The amount totaled $26,000.

After receiving a complaint, police began a lengthy investigation and found the money was missing from the victim's account from April 2009 throug August 2010.

McGurk is charged with grand larceny and forgery.
