Utica Man Arrested In Early Morning Domestic Dispute

Utica, NY (WIBX) - A man with an active order of protection against him is in police custody after violating the stay-away order. According to UPD, it happened around 12:30 this morning, when 44-year-old Carlos Santiago of Kossuth Avenue, broke into a relatives apartment by kicking her door open.

They say Santiago was intoxicated, and even attempted to fight with officers who responded to the call for help. Santiago is also accused of grabbing the victim by the neck and throwing her against the wall. He's charged with Criminal Mischief, Harassment, Resisting Arrest and Criminal Contempt.
