Utica Man Charged With Assault

A Utica man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a woman during a dispute on Kemble Avenue.

53-year old David Maqueria is charged with assault.

Utica Police say Maqueria, who is a friend of the 39-year old woman's husband, slapped and then stabbed her after the woman told him to leave.

The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment of a stab wound under her arm.

Her injuries are non-life threatening.
