Utica Man Charged With Burglary

A Utica man is facing charges after allegedly breaking into a home on the 1000 block of Nichols Street.

A Utica Police officer saw 46-year old Abdul Vohid walking out of the back door of the home.

Vohid then ran back into the house and tried to escape out the front door before he was caught.

Police say he was in possession of two jewelry bags and a pair of gloves.

Vohid was charged with burglary and petty larceny.
