Utica Man Charged With Identity Theft

A Utica man is charged with using his father's personal information to obtain a credit card.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says 29-year old Jon Evans used his father's date of birth and social sercuity number to get a Citi Bank credit card.

Investigators says Evans then allegedly used the credit card to obtain cash and goods totaling over $5,000.

Evans was charged with identity theft.
