A Utica man has been arrested for allegedly killing a cat with a bow and arrow.

According to the Central New York SPCA, 25-year old Theodore Chrystie was charged with felony aggravated cruelty to animals.

The incident happened early Sunday morning on Larchmont Avenue in North Utica.

The SPCA says Chrystie had been sentenced to three years probation in 2010 for beating a puppy in the back of an SUV in the parking lot of the Big Lots store in North Utica.
