Utica Man Charged With Stealing Model Cement

New Hartford, NY (WIBX) - A Utica man is facing charges after allegedly stealing model cement from the Hobby Lobby store on Commercial Drive.

New Hartford Police say they found 52-year old Matthew Hamilton in the parking lot of the Kohl's Department store.

They say Hamilton had emptied the contents of one of the five model cement tubes into a plastic cup and was inhaling the fumes to get high.

Hamilton was charged with petty larceny and inhalation of certain toxic vapors or fumes in order to become intoxicated in violation ot the state Public Health Law.
