Utica, NY (WIBX) - A Utica man is charged with several misdemeanors following a domestic dispute.

According to the UPD, police were called to a home on Noyes Street. When they arrived, they saw William Mowery, 29, of Newell St., allegedly punching someone.

Mowery then began to punch and choke a boy who was trying to help his mother.

An officer arrested Mowery and during his booking, 26 bags of marijuana were found.

Mowery faces misdemeanor assault, endangering the welfare of a child and criminal obstructing breathing charges, along with harassment and unlawful possession of marijuana violations.
