A Utica man is facing charges in a shots fired incident on Hopper Street.

Utica Police and State Police, who were working together under the Gun Involved Violence Elimination or GIVE Program, located 40-year old Sadik Robinson in the area of Park Avenue shortly after the incident.

Police say Robinson tried to flee from officers, but was taken into custody within seconds.

He was allegedly in possession of a loaded semi-automatic handgun.

Robinson is charged with criminal possession of a firearm, criminal possession of a weapon and obstructing governmental administration.
